Registering your computer on the network?

Is it suppost to say that when I connect? After it takes my password it says Registering your computer on the network and connects.

I am on Win2k BTW.
 
Yes, it's supposed to say that. At least, if you've got a WINS or DDNS server it will.

It adds your computer's name and IP address to the resolver on the network so other machines on the network can find yours.
