registering a .edu domain?

none of my regular domain registration sites allow for .edu, and google's not being too great (or rather i'm not being too great to google...)

any help?
 
i represent a computer training institute thats certified. its a global operation, i represent a single branch of it and we have a .com website but want a .edu in addition.

you MUST be an accredited institution to have a .edu
Certified doesn't equal accredited.
 
To obtain an Internet name in the .edu domain, your institution must be a postsecondary institution that is institutionally accredited by an agency on the U.S. Department of Education's list of Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agencies (see recognized accrediting bodies). (Please see the .edu Eligibility section for more information.)
