Registering A Domain Name?

Does it matter where/with who you register a name with? I searched on Network Solutions and the name is available. Once I have the Domain, can anyone host my site or would I have to use them?

Only use Network Solutions if you are registering a corporation or business domain for which you own the legal rights and trademark to.

Otherwise order your domain through GoDaddy.com or NameCheap.com

It doesn't matter where you host the domain.

Thank you, Sir.

Stay away from Network Solutions! The first domain I ever bought (I had no option then) was through them. I just recently transferred it to GoDaddy and Network Solutions makes you jump through hoops.

Ditto, network solutions is the devel
When I bought my first domain name from them it was $120 a year!
I use www.regesterfly.com it is $10 a year.

It's threads like this that have me convinced that RossMAN is just a bot. There is no way a human being could reply so fast to every single hosting thread on the boards.

Any particular reason for that?

Yes and I forgot exactly why. Basically if it ever comes down to disputing that you own the rights/trademark to the company name, you are better off registering with NetSol rather than GoDaddy, RegisterFly, etc.

RossMAN, times have changed. I respectfully disagree with you. NetSol offers nonthing that would justify the extra cash.

Stay Far Away from them. Go to Godaddy.com. Network SOlutiosn is so expensive it's not even funny.
Where you registed the domain name has nothing to do with wher eyou host your actual site.
