Registered Ram question

Ok I have learned my lesson on mixing regular Sdram and ECC memory. But is there a consequence to mixing registered and regular Sdram?

Well you see that icon that shows the cring guy next to my name? That was me. After mixing ECC with regular PC133 SDRAM, it corrupted my registry under Windows 2000. To make matters worse, I thought there is no way that could have been because of the RAM, (I had unistalled a SCSI card at the same time) so I did it again. Definately the RAM. Took 2 times for me to learn my lesson.... sheesh....

wait, u were running regular ran as ECC, u know ECC is phisically different, it has like a ninth thingy.

Yes u turn it off in the BIOS

No. I had 256 megs of pc133 ram. I tried to add 128 megs of pc133 ecc ram. I knew they were different but assumed that the ecc wouldnt make that big of a difference.
