SUPERMICRO MBD-X8DAL-i-O Dual LGA 1366 Intel 5500 ATX Dual Intel Xeon 5500 and 5600 Series

It says it supports registered and ECC, and standard is DDR3 1333, but is registered required ??
 
I think it probably is, but isn't the memory controller on the CPU? Do the Xeons require registered, or will they work with standard unbuffered? I don't really know for sure.

I PM'ed him, also about my PSU query, need 2 8 pins for CPU, not the 8's like for video, I think they are different.
 
I foud this on supermicro's site:
Supports up to 24 GB 1333 / 1066 / 800MHz DDR3 ECC / Non ECC Unbuffered memory.

So question answered, I don;t need registered !
