in a job im bidding on i came across this cert requirement. i thought it was odd, never seen it in 7 years of bidding for water/wastewater. anyone familiar with it or have it? ive found this info, as well as some other org called bicsi.org that gives a discount. kind of curious about this 3 hour test that is required...

It is a pretty difficult cert and the people who have it make serious bank. Typically people that go for it have at least 5 years expert level experience with communications and cabling.

These are the guys that design and do project management for the most important aspect of all data centers and all communications - the cabling. when I bid cabling jobs I specify that all phases and designs must be approved by an RCDD. If the respondents don't have a RCDD on staff then they don't get the bid.
