Regional salary numbers

beer

Lifer
I have entry-level 'averages' for BSEE on a national basis. NACEWeb has regional numbers but they aren't publicly accessible. Clearly silicon valley has a higher salary expectation. Are reputable salary averages available somewhere?

Thanks

I need more granularity than 'west.' San Jose > rest of CA > rest of the 'west' category. I am looking for specifically san jose, entry-level BSEE salaries.

have you searched for salary surveys on google ? You might find something there

theres no way to really get that unless you are HR or have a subscription to some account.
Our HR person has a subscription to some govt hr website that has the averages by zipcode according to census figures for a variety of individual positions.

my title is network admin. i live in central PA. i started at $30,000 and after 1 year, make $33,000
my only education is high school, a 1 year tech school (that was pretty much worthless), and 6 months in a MS cert course that got me my MCSA cert.

is that pretty good or bad?

It's hard to come by.....I've been looking. And I'm looking for reputable numbers, not the clearly inflated monster.com type of valuations.

BSEE != IT. Most of the people here on AT and on common job sites are IT, not engineering. THere is a diff....

Eh, averages are crap. When asked just say 'negotiable' and if they push you for a range of what you what give them a broad one. See what they offer, compare to other offers and go from there. Having a specific # in mind during an interview is never a good idea. Oh, and don't take the highest paying job just for the $!! Growth potential is just as important.

i was taught that the physicist title is granted after Ph. D, looking at salary.com though it seems like a bachelors only
