region-free dvd drives

Hi

I'd like to know if there are a list of region-free drives. I heard that the pioneer 106s drive is region free. Is this true? I was forced to considder a region free drive because some bright individual in my region 2 country, South Africa, decided that it would be clever to release a Roger waters dvd to us as a region 1 disk.

I also heard that the toshiba drives are region free or at least hackable to become so. Can anyone comment?

Plenty of information on how to hack your DVD drive is here. I just hacked my new LG drive a few days ago with software found from there.
