regedit problem

I am logged in as a power user in win XP, but when i type regedit from the run command, it says Regedit has been disabled by the administrator...

How can I get into my regedit?

Log in as administrator.

I have done but its says its been disabled by the administrator....I cant remember disabling it, I think installing the lastes updates from MS has done this....wots the quick fix?
