Guys, should I just stop focusing on chicks so much, and start focusing on other things? In hopes that chicks will find me more attractive and that I will just somehow hook up with one someday?

Or should I just start asking chicks out, even though I am almost positive they will say no?
(I'm worried that if I ask some girls out, and get shot down, then my reputation will get shitty, and plus I will never have a chance with those girls again)

Just do it. If they start shitting you just for showing them interest then they're not worth it. They shouldn't care if you're fugly or not. Any attention would be a compliment anyway...:cookie:

I'm just worried that I'll gain the reputation of being the loser on campus, if a bunch of chicks turn me down.
 
Nah, be yourself and just do what you do. You always find the best chicks when you're not looking and really could care less.

The only thing you should be afraid of is failure without trying. Start asking girls out because the worst thing they're going to say is no.

According to Erikson psychosocial theory, you are in the Intamcay vs. Isolation stage of your adolescence/adulthood.

Taken from my college book:
"Intamacy vs. Isolation: Young adults seek companionship and love with another person or become isolated from others because they fear rejection and dissapoinment."

This is interesting to contrast with Freud psychosexual theory:

Adolescence - Genital Stage: The genitals are the focus of pleasureable sensations and the young person seeks sexual stimulation and sexual satasfaction in heterosexual relationships.

Adulthood: Freud believed that the genital stage lasts throughout adulthood. He also said that the goal of a healthy life is "to love and to work."
