Regarding my system

Hi guys I have;

An Asus striker extreme
2gb pc1066 corsair dominator Ram


I feel this is the only thing I need to state my problem. I saw that asus's website says the striker does not support pc1066 ddr2 memory (Or otherwise says ddr800 as a max value). I'm wondering how to make my striker at 1066 stable? I am feeding it 2.2 volts and it will not play nice at pc1066 in vista. WHen I try to rate my PC it crashes on my video drives and says the nvidia driver stopped responding. When I repeat this at ddr2 800 it runs fine.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Erm.......don't run your RAM at 1066? You know the problem and the solution, so I'm not sure where you're going with this.

Stop getting your postcount up. The ram is rated at 1066 and the board is supposed to run 1066, reviewers have been able to do it with ease.

So what speed is the computer running at in both cases ? Does this mean you are overclocking ?

I am forced to run ddr 800 because if I put it at SLI-ready 0 percent CPU OC it puts it at 1066 but it cannot handle games at that speed for some reason.
No overclocking.

Instead, I was replying to this statement

..so I am confused why you are asking how to run the motherboard at 1066 speeds?

cputeq has apoint if you are running the memory at 1066mhz and it doesn't work a 2.2v then you probably won't get it to run at all and it isn't safe for it to run at a higher vcore to get it stable. You can try running your mobo at higher voltages but I don't you will be able to get it to run at that speed on that board.
