Regarding Kobe's 81 . . .

i know we've done this before. but time has passed.

the thing about Kobe's 81 vs Wilts 100 is, Kobe did it in a real game situation where toronto for much of the game had a shot at winning. when wilt did it the game was over at half time and even the opposite team was helping wilt to get to 100.

don't get me wrong, i'm the person that has said that i would take Wilt over MJ (or Kobe) but you have to give kobe SOME credit for the fact that he did it in a somewhat competitive game.

LOL. In the last thread on this subject I called you out for being a Kobe fanboy. You went on and on how you were an NJ fan and you don't post about Kobe. Not to mention the 4-5 threads I showed you supporting Kobe.

Funny.

how did the other team help him?

In the final half quarter, the lakers were leading by so much that the raptors didn't even try anymore. Also, the raptors have no defense.

If I recall, they stepped aside to let him have the basket. They didn't defend him.

5 NY Players fouled out against him. He had 25 Rebounds also.

"With five minutes remaining, Chamberlain had 89 points. He scored five points quickly; points 93 and 94 on a 12-foot bank shot. Points 95 and 96 came on a lob pass from Rodgers. Points 97 and 98 came on an easy layup feed from York Larese. Nearing the century mark, Chamberlain stole New York's inbound pass but his shot went in and spun out. The chaotic last minute went like this:

Chamberlain missed a shot.
Teammate Ted Luckenbill rebounded and fed Chamberlain who missed again.
Luckenbill grabbed the rebound again and passed to Joe Rutlick.
Rutlick fed Chamberlain underneath the basket.
Chamberlain dunked home points 99 and 100. "

What are you talking about? The game was over in the 3rd quarter for Kobe...and in the Wilt game, it was competitive, did you see the final score? It was less than 20 points, can't say that about the Laker-Raptor game.

the halftime score was 63-49, Raptors LEAD. the raptors were up almost 20 points early in the 3rd quarter. to start the 4th quarter, it was Lakers leading 91-85. it was only a 6 point game going into the 4th. hardly over.

not sure what you're talking about....

Yes but by the middle of the 4th, when kobe only had around 60something points, the lakers were in control and the raptors didn't even try.

Finally, something we agree on

Hahahaha! 😀

Seriously though ... I'll be impressed when Kobe wins a championship without Shaq... until then he's just another selfish player who does nothing to improve his team that doesn't directly involve himself & the points he scores.
