At WD's online store, the refurbished 320GB USB external hard drive is $89.99, use code CUSTJUN to get $20 off $75. With shipping and tax, works out to be around $82-83, depending on location (some locations don't have tax). Pretty hot to me. If I didn't order that NE shell shocker 160GB 2 days ago, I would definitely go for this one. Won't last long as supply is probably limited.

You can also use that code on a refurbed 500GB My Book drive (3.5", with external power required). The price for that drive is $79.99 before code!

PS. Refurbed WD drives have 6 month warranty only, so take that into consideration.

Looks like they're out of the 320GB drives, but I grabbed a 250GB one for 68 bucks shipped. Not too bad. Thanks!

BTW, I'm assuming I should be able to pop this into my PS3, right? If not, no biggie--I can use the drive at work.

Update: looks like 320GB is out. 250GB is still there for $10 less, as AnandBrowser says, around $68 shipped

If I didn't already own the 80 GB version I would be ordering right now. I paid about $110 two years ago and that was the cheapest price going ...

Perfect, Thanks OP!

I've been going back and forth about getting the 250gb version when it's listed around $100. For $72 shipped, I finally jumped.

Had a 160 died on me after 1st week of use. The second 320 died on me after two weeks. Both hard their were fried as you can smell the burning from it. I'm personally going with another external brand. Oh, these were brand new.

I'd suggest you to check if nothing is wrong with your USB port. (For instance, proper voltage, proper ground, etc) I and my friends have at least 10 WD Passport USB 2.5" drives, which have been used at least six months without any failure. (The oldest one is 60GB used about 1.5 yrs) Two drives dead less than two weeks by burn look more than HDD failure.

This is a great deal! Does any one know when it's reasonable to expect 320GB Passports to re-appear?

I use all my 6 USB (2 front) all the time, especially the 2 front where the Passports are attached to. My PMP, cell phone, PSP, DS, all use the same 2 ports. I'm 100% sure it's not the ports, it's the Passport being faulty and fried on me. Thanks for the concern though.
