Refurbished PC's and Laptops/sites

I do some work for a small k-12 school whose average computer is a celery 850 Mhz with 256 MB ram. The budget is tight, real tight.

I've looked at new Dell PC's and Laptops, they come in at 550, 1100 each. I am looking for some refurbs that would also work (off lease etc are fine)

This is one site I've looked at:
www.laptopcloseout.com/usa/store.html?target=../../

Also, www.systime.com. Systime has desktops from hp/dell. $300 total for an AMD 3200+ (with xp pro license, and 17" LCD) isn't to bad. I'd buy the monitors off of newegg or zzf.

I'd prefer to go with Dell 610's or a Lenovo T-series laptop. All of these are major upgrades for what is there now.

Do any of you have any experience with these companies? I've looked at Dell's outlet site and they simply do not compare in pricing.
Anyone have a different vendor they have used?

Thanks!

EDIT: I'm also going to throw tigerdirect into the fray.. Their refurbs seem competitive with the others, but I've atleast heard of tigerdirect outside of google searching...

Honestly, I'd look for some university auctions, you can usually grab some decent stuff for a few hundred bucks, and build several decent machines out of them. Most of the times, the machines are off-lease 3-4 year old boxes.

Have you looked at Dell Financial Services? Dell FS

A co-worker got a couple of D610s from them for a charity project and they were in very good condition. They have at least a 100-day warranty from Dell, sometimes longer.
