Refurbished Monitors ???? Plz help !

Ok. Seriously. What do you guys think... I know they sometimes have scratches/marks on outside but if its not extensive I can live w/ it ... main thing is that they dont quit.. whats the deal on reliability ? You can get 21" Hitachi Superscan Elite 802's for $229 at Team Excess w/ 1 yr warranty ? Should I run in the other direction or take the chance ??? Hmm ......
 
I have bought 2 refurbs from a computer show. One is 7 years total, the other, 4, and the both work fine, except for the fact that the guy at the computer show told me they were 15 in. an they were 14 in. Still got a helluva deal on them tho.
