Refurbished lcd monitors

I've always had good exprience with refurbed products. I own refurbed Klipsch Promedias and a refurbed Logitech MX610. No problems.

If it comes with a full warrenty...Yes. If it comes with a 90 day to one year...No.

Dell/BenQ are having capacitor issues but no Viewsonics have been posted yet at badcaps.net.

Like he said if you get full warranty and are saving quite a bit over retail/new then go for it. But even with full warranty I would have to save alot. Replacing something like a monitor would be a hassle.

depends on the hours use i guess. as far as i know backlights dont last forever. there are led backlights, but thats super high end stuff costing thousands in large tvs.

I've gotten 2 refurbished LCDs and they are working AOK. I don't see any problem for you to buy them from a reputable seller.
By the way, they came off eBay.

Any good places to still get a dell 2001FP? MIght want to get someone an lcd for xmas and mine has been good for ~2 yrs.

I have LCDs that have been working good for 5+ years, no backlight issues.

like a lightbulb it depends how long it was on, and how many times that switch was flicked😉

just saying take it into consideration that it might not last when looking at the price. these things seem to have failure built into them, not user replacable.and well they burn out long after warrantees up
