refurbished Iphone resell value once the new gen phones come out?

I just bought a refurbished Iphone with the intent of selling it right away. I paid $250 for it and they are selling for $400+ on Ebay. If it doesn't sell in 13 days I'll just return it to Apple.

I was thinking though, it would be pretty sweet to play with for a few months. Do you think that when the new gne phones comes out the resell value could drop below $250?

I bought one with the same intentions! If it sells for a profit I will buy another refurb or two and make enough to buy one form the profit.

Apple might also release a low-cost version at the same time, which would screw you. The rumor mill has been pointing to early next year for that one (iPhone Nano?), but you never know.

I would just sell it now then get stuck with it. The longer you wait, the more people will hear about the new gen coming out and it may hurt prices.

The gen 1 phones aren't going to lose that much value, many of them get hacked and used on other carriers...
