Seggybop asks a reasonable question. I went from a dual xeon (603) intel server setup to a plain jane core2duo server because the core2duo setup just works, and it takes off-the-shelf components. I ran the exact same hard drive and ubuntu linux on both of them and the core2duo did a better job and is more reliable. It's been running for months without a hiccup.
Maybe for datacenters or uber-redundant ssl servers you might use a dual xeon server board that requires ecc, but for your every day average single server solution you don't really need a server board like this.
It is a good deal, though, for what it is.
