Actually, as someone already mentioned, I actually didn't think I was going to get one as this wouldn't be the first time that I bought something and they oversold or mispriced. I learned along time ago that it's not a hot deal until it hits my doorstep

Sorry for those of you that were let down. Honestly they are not setup with real time inventory and possibly should have avoided the attempt. Instead they should have used a retailer that could better handle it (ie newegg), but then it would cost more as well.
At least they are refunding promptly, giving you 50*Ebucks (debatable as to value), and shipping you a free game (I wonder what it is). As long as you get your refund I would chalk it up as a missed deal but you got something for free. I consider that a hot deal if they stand by that promise.
Just keep in mind the more vocal you are about these promotions (ie demanding), the less they are inclined to have these in the future.
Also punishing the willing is not a good system either. Ie so now people are more inclined to purchase XFX since the EVGA attempt at a promotion didn't go as planned? So to gain customers they should never attempt anything as I understand.
Either case I understand the frustration as I have been on the side of many hot deals gone bad.
