Actually, I've never bought anything refurbed.
Usally for an extra $10-40 for most pc items, you get brand new with full warranty.

I just purchased a refurb xbox for 150. its got the same warranty as the new ones and its 25% cheaper...

yes refurb definitely isnt bad.


i 've worked at a refurb plant for hp pavilions. they run all the same test as the "new" plant, and everything is just like a new one, you'd never know outside of dust being on the fan blades which is the only thing you could see.

i for one just bought a refurb sharp mini dv camera. the originals were supposedly really problematic, but apparently they fixed the problems later, and the refurb one works perfect.

It's not that this isn't a hot deal, it's that this is a bad product.

Don't buy this drive... you will be sorry if you do. It will not work with DVD+R disks, and DVD+RW by itself is practically useless...

You are an idiot because of the way you responded. You should've very nicely pointed out that it only writes +RW and that it only has a 30 day warrenty and then post your opinion on why it is not a good item. There is no need to make a personal insult and act like you know everything.

Btw, I'm assuming that was an insult because in actuality that is a compliment. The deal isn't hot at all (since you can get a nice dvd-r/w for just a little more new) which means that Idone is not very dumb at all.
