I don't spend as much time on the computer at home as I used to. I hardly play games anymore at all and definately not new ones.
My mom got a new laptop so I'm getting my old PC back. I plan to put a TV tuner in it and run MCE to record shows I occasionaly miss that can't be time shifted.
Its an athlon @ 1Ghz, 512MB RAM Don't think it was DDR back than, and currently has the Original Radeon. I think 7200 is what windows called it.
I was thinking of just picking up the ATI 550 chip based tuner based on Anands review of tuners as a saphire version w/o the remote which would be useless is about 80 CDN. But ATI says it needs a 9600 or better for good performance?
Or should I just get a refurbed AIW 9600 XT for 105 cdn?
I want whatever gives me better tv watching experience.
