Hey, great deal. I was looking for a pear of wireless headphones too. I can't tell from the description, but then AW720R has a built in charger, so you can just plug it in to charge? The AW770R says it uses rechargeble batteries, but does it auto charge? or do you have to go buy a charger seperately?

Plus, has anyone ever ordered from em?

Kelvrick - I believe the 770's have rechargeable + you can use batteries. Have I ordered from them before, no? I have visited their store outside of Orlando. Visit Recoton's web site to see exactly who they are behind the scenes for. Their outlet stores have great prices...I wish I would've had another suitcase with me.

The only thing that I can say is that Recoton is a pretty big player in the A/v industry, but most people only recognize their "up front" names. Look at the Avocent stuff, made by Recoton....again, look at their web site. Not the top end stuff, but decent stuff without breaking the bank.

You're right....my mistake for posting while multitasking at work. Solving problems and posting just don't mix.....I can do both, but work pays the bills.....

Don't expect a clear signal like I was expecting when I got the 770's. You have to tune them, and I always got static which made the music sound like FM with poor reception.

I get pretty decent reception with my Advent Wireless that I blow $80 bucks on a while back. At one point, they were like one of the previous post described (junked in the closet) mainly because it takes too long to charge the rechargeable and it eats up battery like there is no tomorrow. That is, until I found out a simple trick. I turn the vol control on the headphones themselves to the lowest possible setting w/o it being mute. Then I boost up the vol of the source. At this setting, the akaline batteries (2 AAA) last more than 2 weeks! I now use the headphones whenever I get bitch at me for staying up too late while listening to music or watching tv.

Anyone know how much these weigh? I'm really picky about the weight of headphones since I can't do things for extended periods of time with some of them, especially ones that take like double A batteries!

Like I said in the previous post, my Advent headphones uses 2 AAA batteries. Overall, it is definitely heavier than your standard set of wired headphones. But if you can deal with headphone radios, you will do fine. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
