Are the Refurbished Wiis from say Gamestop worth getting, or are is it a shot in a dark with terms of quality?

How much are you saving? Wii's are pretty reliable as consoles go, so it's probably the only one I wouldn't worry about getting a refurb if the price is right.

I would pay the extra $30 and get a new one. You get a 15 month warranty from Nintendo on the new one if you have any problems.

The refurbs are $150 I believe. But since Target has it for $200 with $30 gc (was going to do the Walmart thing but kept putting it off).

I bought a Wii and Wii Fit Plus combo 2 or 3 weeks ago from Amazon. They threw in a $50 gift card for free and, when the confirmation emails came, they knocked off an additional $35 off the price of the Wii as well (it came out to $165), which pleasantly surprised me.

They might still have that deal going. If not, getting a Wii for what amounts to $170 from Target makes getting a new one a no brainer.
