Seeing as this board is basically impossible to find, the fact its available is pretty hot even if its a refurb (j&w has no US presence so you arent getting RMAs from anyone but geeks regardless).

I have one myself and its pretty great. The bios actaully has full voltage controls of everything, northbridge voltage, cpu voltage, multipliers hypertransport.

it also supports all the am3 chips as of latest bios.

4.1% bing cash.

Why would someone go for these ITX boards over lower cost Micro ATX? Do they make a decent low cost case in this size? I recently went with a MATX and got a mini tower for 30$ shipped. Its still allot smaller than a regular tower, but allows me to use normal parts in my system. If you gotta spend 30$ more for the MOBO twice as much for a specialized PSU twice for the case and get 2.5" HDDs ect...

I also noticed this board uses laptop memory, interesting (not a bad thing).

I might be in the market for another SFF in the near future, and if I can indeed get an ITX system up and running for a reasonable cost Id look into it (as in not twice as much).

Actually, is there a way to build a PC to take over as the tuner and such for a TV? Right now my parents have an old DVD player running the cable and sound but its dieing...they would really like to be able to hook up a PC to their TV and if I could get it to take over the duties of the old electronics that would save money and space (and heat). Its an older TV 800x600 with only one ypbr? input (composite component?). TV will eventually get upgraded, but PC first.

well given most ITX cases are maybe half if not less the size of a micro atx case...

its not actually that much more expensive. itx cases are pretty cheap now , so if you paid say $120 instead of $70 for the board, and spend an extra $20 on a case of equivalent quality, it is not that huge a price premium given the form factor.
