Refurb hard drive @ newegg.com

I wonder how well these fair. I know of the 15-day warantee, but I really want to buy one of these cheap Seagate 120gb drives because they cost have as much as oem and even retail.

Anyone have experience with refurb'd hard drives? Or, especially refurb hard drive's at Newegg.com, who I order from regularly.

I personally do not trust refurbed HD's with being able to find bargains on new ones. I was just at Bestbuy yesterday and saw New Retail 120GB Seagates there for $69 after rebate, now that's a bargain.

i would be wary of refurbed hard drives. Its one thing if a motherboard or RAM ends up failing, different if your data is on it. Depends on how much you value your data. a 15-day warranty is just not enough for me, YMMV.

If they had a full warranty I'd have no qualms about saving a couple bucks since all my stuff is backed up anyway. I'd stay far away with just a 15-day warranty unless it was VERY cheap.
