compgeeks has this highly rated mp3 player. i've read reviews, and this is probably the best optical based mp3 player. has remote etc. $58 after the 10% off coupon, uses those small 150 MB cds

Compgeeks is a reliable store. I placed a dozen of orders with them. Never had a single problem.

Yes these mini CDR/CDRWs can be burned on a regular CDR/CDRW drive.

i heard their customer service sucks though. but not as nortorious as tigerdirect.

I had one of these breifly. In one word, this unit sucks. First off, it is THICK. Thicker than my normal personal CD player. Secondly, it was VERY finicky-software seemed to be buggy. Third, the sound quality was subpar. The PM1 was a nice idea, however, the implementation was very flawed. Save your money.

Thanks, you saved me some money. It's so good to hear something like this instead of "i heard this sucks" or my least favorite, "i had it and it sucks" with no other information.

I have one of these CD players and its pretty nice, As long as i've owned it, it has not skipped on me. Only bad thing about this unit is the Remote is not back lit and it eats batteries like crazy. It only gets about 4 hour battery life. If you buy this make sure you get an extra set of rechargeable batteries.
