Refurb at Newegg

Wonder if anybody has gotten refurbished mb's from Newegg and their luck with them. I got one a year ago and am considering getting another.
This one did come with everything and worked fine.

Never had a bad board.
Most, came barebone though.

ive had mixed results with newegg refurbs. most times they have worked fine, but i have recieved some damaged and doa items (items that looked damaged prior to shipping)

I've never got damaged stuff when ordering refurbs from them (lucky I guess) but I've had a couple bad motherboards. The RMA's were flawless and the second board worked fine both times. You can save a ton of money this way but understand that you are not getting new and in most cases you won't get a backplate, cables, or support CD with them. If you're building for someone else be sure they know this also.

I have bought about 8 boards over the years and only had 1 bad board which was a Biostar VKD board which a basket of worms itself.
70 % have arrived in retail box with cables, manuals etc......30% are mobo's by themself.

You can't beat the prices, just look for proven brands and models. Have Fun !

I got a MSI from them once. A MS6398 almost free. Actually it was free a friend bought it and then gave it to me. Came with everything.

I ordered a Asus P4P800 Not bad for $59 Should be here in a couple days.

Got my board today a shiney new sealed up OEM looking board. Install it this weekend wish me luck.

Then to get a back plane really wish me triple luck.

Never ordered a refurb mobo. Only refurb I ever bought was a video card. And I had to rma it back to asus after about a month cause the fan on it was dead. I woulda just fixed it myself but I didn't want to void my warranty.

depending on what brand, it can be brand new.


i got a shuttle mn31 for $60 a while back. brand new, sealed in box with all accesories.

got an ABIT NF7-S from refurb from them for $59, and it seems to be working fine.

Woot Asus rocks! :beer: was on the phone with them for 8 minutes 7 seconds and have an IO shield on the way!

Tonight I ordered a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP..from Newegg Refurb of course..$85 clams..for my main system.
I'll let you guys know how thing workout with it
This mainboard is suppose to be great..I hope so

ive probably ordered 15 boards refurb from them .


probably only 1 was bad. 4-5 a few were new in box.

I have been using my Asus for over a month and a half now with not a hair of a problem.

The swap out went well and XP survived it. Only thing that went wrong was my firewall needed a file replaced and after that it was good.

I got a refurb MSI KT6 mobo from newegg about a week ago and it came with everything. SATA cables, rounded IDE cables, I/O plate, etc...full retail box.

runs like a top, and best part is that it was only $49

i grabbed 3 of the asrock k7s8xe motherboards about a week ago, they were true refurbished motherboards (fresh from asrock in white box with no accessories)

the worst part is they use a non-standard I/O backplate so ill have to make my own

I BOUGHT shuttle mn31 nforce2 for $65 there before. came with usb 2.0 bracket, firewire bracket, spdif bracket. i had actually bought a new one abuot half a year before and it didnt come with those things
