I have a GE dorm refrigerator, it died. It was not turning on but when I adjusted the thermostat it kicked on for a little bit and then nothing. What would fail on this? It is a little over a year old. I have it defrosting right now turned off and unplugged.

most dorm refridgerators don't have a compressor its would be a peltier but either way I think a new refridgerator is in your futur
 
i agree with fallout, time to shell out some $$$ or claim an extended warranty should you have gotten one.

but then again, i don't know much about refridgerators, so who am i to say anything.
