Refresh rates?

i'd reccomend 85hz or better, with 75 being the absolute minimum. the reason the refresh rate decreases as you increase resolution is because it's more difficult for the video card/monitor to refresh as quickly with more total pixels on the screen

It makes a big difference if you think it does. If it looks like there's a big difference to you, then I guess so. Generally, the higher it is, the better it looks. Some monitors get blurrier, though. Personally, I can't tell the difference between 85 and anything above. I normally have my monitor running 75Hz@1280x960 because it can't go any higher.
