Hi...I'm putting together a couple of old classic gaming rigs and had a Trident 4 meg AGP in an Intel LX/PII300 mobo combo with Win98SE and a 1995 Hitachi 17" monitor. Now I was able to set that card to adaptor default or optimal refresh rate in display properties and not sure what the refresh rate was exactly but it didn't bother me, have the computer under a flourescent light.
Tonight I was going to try some of the old Rendition gaming goodness and replaced the Trident with a PCI Diamond Stealth SII Rendition V2100 chip 4 meg card, I know, not any kind of upgrade but there are some OLD games with Rend patches. I got the most recent set of Diamond drivers for it that I could find and I can't for the life of me find where to change the refresh in display properties. And apparently it's set at 60 or even less because the flicker under that light is unbearable. Were old cards like this just set permanently at 60 Hz or is there some way to force it??
