Refresh rates with Abit Siluro GF4ti4400

When my videocard switches to 3d mode (opengl or direct3d) the refresh rate goes to 60Hz (very irritating flickering) with every resolution.
The refresh rates on my desktop are just fine, for example 1600x1200x32 at 85Hz.
I have already installed the driver for my monitor (Iiyama Vision Master Pro 510 max. resolution 2048x1536x32 at 75Hz).

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
