I have a sony g400 monitor that I run at 1600x1200 and pre-radeon I would have the refresh rates set to 85Hz, post radeon i seem to be maxed out at 75. The specs for the card say it can get up to 90Hz at this res but I can't seem to get it past 75 Hz. I've also tried with powerstrip with no luck, I set it to 85 it clicks over but stays at 75. I know there really isn't too much of a difference but I'm just picky and used to 85 Hz :) Anyone have any suggestions?

Also i'm running 98SE, with 7041 drivers.

Don't know anything about the sony g400 monitor, but maybe 75hz is the max it will do at 1600x1200.

Edit: Just checked sonys site and it says it does up to 85hz. So I don't know.

Make sure you got the right drivers installed for the monitor.

BTW 1600x1200 seems really small.

Have you tried running monitor drivers other than the G400 drivers....?

I loaded Samsung 900IFT drivers and it works for me now....

I just tried both HZ Tool and different drivers and they both had the same effect. Stays at 75hz. Powerstrip says that its at 85Hz but its not. The monitor tells me it current ranges and I can see a small difference.
