ok folks, does ANYONE know of a good way to set the refresh rates of dos games that run in W2K, how about Win98/ME for that matter? ARRGH, I wanna play these games, but I REFUSE to look at a 60HZ screen.

PS ya know what would rule, if Windows had it built in so that you could set the refresh rates in 1 HZ increments instead of the usual 60,70,72,75,85 etc...

Changing the resolutions in 1Hz. increments would be impossible since no monitor out there today supports all those resolutions. Windows can only support the resolutions that your monitor does.

Sorry, I don't really have an answer to your other question. I don't think my Philips monitor looks all that bad at 60Hz. :)

if I am not mistaken though, any monitor that can do 85 hz, can do anything below 85 hz in 1 hz increments. at least all modern monitors can.

I dunno if this works in Win2K, but for Win9x the best program I've seen is Unirefresh. It says it's 21-day shareware, but it doesn't expire nor are there any nag screens. I've never had a problem with it.
