Refresh Rate question for Windows ME

Ok, I am having the same problem as others. Running 100 hz on the desktop but when I go to games, it drops to 60. I know this has been hashed to death but all messages are addressing the XP/2K issue. I am running ME. I went from the 28.32's to 29.42's. No good(but got a nice boost in 3dmark). Ran Rivatuner, nothing. I saw one post in the archives and someones suggestion was to just change OS's. Not worth doing just yet.

Has anyone found a fix for the problem that is running ME?



 
Just in case anyone is interested. Found the fix for my refresh problem. While I was at the desktop, I set the res to 1600x1200 and noticed that the refresh rate defaulted to 60hz. So, changed it to 75hz. Went to the games that I was having problems in, rate at 75. I thought windows would have adjusted for the monitors refresh at each res. but maybe not.
