Refresh Rate of GPUs

Is the refresh rate on a GPU shared or independent per port?

For example my card is set at 240Hz maximum refresh rate.
The monitors I've seen are 144Hz per monitor. I would like to get 2 of them.

Would my card support 2 of them monitors?

The refresh rate is independent per port*. So that should work. Though I'm not sure why (or how) you've set something to 240Hz when no monitor supports that refresh rate.

* There are exceptions, we can safely ignore them for cases with only 2 monitors

No, no the GPU has a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz not the monitor.
The monitors are maximum of 144Hz per monitor.

Okay, awesome, thanks for your help.

Two 144hz monitors is a bit of a weird thing to want. 144hz is useful only for fast paced gaming, and since you can't really render a game on two monitors at the same time, you should be looking at a 144hz primary gaming monitor and a 60hz secondary multitasking monitor.
