I just got this monitor today, my first flat panel, and hooked it up to a new ATI X1950 Pro. In "Display Properties", on the "Monitor" tab, when I check the box that says "Hide modes this monitor cannot display", all I get is a 60 Hertz refresh rate choice.
I am running the monitor at its native rez of 1920 x 1200. If I uncheck the "Hide modes..." box, I get other, higher refresh rates. I picked 75 Hertz, and everything seems okay, but there's that dire Windows warning under the "Hide modes..." check box that says "Clearing this check box allows you to select display modes that this monitor cannot display correctly. This may lead to an unusable display and/or damaged hardware."
So I guess my question is: should I heed that warning and drop the refresh rate back down to 60 Hertz? Or is this monitor perfectly capable of handling the 75 Hertz rate?
