Refresh dilema

Should I set my refresh on optimal, or set a specific number.

I don't know much about it. I run (most of the time) at 1024X768 and my monitor (17") goes to 100 Hz.

Any suggestions?
 
Optimal should be fine. Depending on how Windows detects your monitor, Optimal will be either 85Hz or your maximum of 100Hz.
