Lemme see... your first HD is set as primary but it is trying to boot off the new drive?? And I assume the new drive does not yet have an OS installed and you are getting a non system disk error when it does this?

The first thing I would check, as long as you are certain that the drives are master\slaved correctly, is to look at the boot order in your BIOS.

I would use the cable select mode, run Windows and let it see the new drive, then r-click\properties and format it. Swap the cables once you're done if you want to use the new one as the master. If you just want to format it without windows you can get a DOS boot disk at www.bootdisk.com

What size is the new drive?
