Alright, so I'm tired of Windows 98 and want to upgrade to Windows 2000. I have everything on my C:\ backed up, but before I format the drive I have a question. I bought the Win 2K Server dsk OEM, but I don't have any Office Installation disks. 🙁 Is this going to be something bad, all Compaq gave me with my PC was their "Quick Restore" disk 🙁

If I reformat and install Win 2K, what exactly will be on OS? And how would I go upon getting Word and so on?

hehe thats your fault for getting a comcrap. no office unless you use the restore disk (and therefore wipe out everything and install win98)
 
I dont think you can use the programs that are pre installed with another operating system than the original pre installed one.

This is so typical of Compaq. They suck so hard.

Just borrow office from a friend - its not pirating if you own a liscence to it anyway.
