Having some issues when trying to reformat the hd, and do a clean install of windows. When I load the windows cd, and hit install I get an error message that windows does not detect any hard drive. Is there any drivers I can use to make windows disc recognize the serial? Any help would be great.

Thanks!

yes! you need the serial ata drivers from your motherboard manufacturer or the hard driver manufacturer, and you need to put them on a floppy. When windows is tarting to install, it will say, "Press F6 if you need to identify additional SCSI or RAID Drivers." Make sure you press F6!!! Then, it will say to load additional drivers after a while. Insert your floppy, press enter, and pick from the availible drivers for your OS. All done from there, but when Windows needs to reboot after the instal, take out the floppy.

You will have to go in the bios setup and enable (SATA-PATA) combination for windows to detect hd during windows install.
