Hey guys, something is really troubling me right now. I reformatted my PC, reinstalled Windows 7. Have everything set up the way it was before. Started playing Wolfenstein, I noticed performance seemed a little wonky. Downloaded Unigine Heaven 4.0 again, ran the benchmark, and my scores are now -50 from where they were before. My overclocks are all enabled and the same as before. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

This is very common doing a fresh install, especially if you're installing a whole bunch of updates at once.

Typically, you can just reboot and try again to correct the issue.

I'm thinking it's the drivers, as some users are reporting performance gains and losses.

50 points is basically margin of error isn't it?

if you had a 5000 unigine heaven score it would be

my 7950 @ 1050/1250 always gets around 850 on the extreme preset @ 1080p

for it to drop to 803 is a huge difference and i immediatly felt the lower performance in game which is what prompted me to rerun the benchmark

running 14.9 drivers again my benchmarks back up to 850. Must be the Omega driver and Unigine's engine don't like each other as much. Gonna stick with 14.9 because it also performs better in games it seem like.

It's been reported that frame pacing does decrease the fps in most cases with these drivers.
