I am currently reformating my hard drive. I have only one and I want to creat two partitions on the drive, one for music and one for windows. I have windows xp pro sp2, I dont know how many mb I should put on one partition for windows. I have a wd raptor 74gig. Also when im about to partition the drive it says two diff things, partition the drive using fat file or ntfs file system.

I would always go with NTFS. Assuming you're having 1 partition for Windows and 1 for Music I would allocatae 10-15GB for the Windows partition and leave the rest for your music. It will depend on how many applications etc you install as these will go on the Windows partition
