Reformat Speed?

Hi All,

I just finished putting my new computer together:

E6600
P5B - Deluxe
2gig Corsair
Corsair hs520w
2x Seagate 320 7200.10
Gigabyte 7600gt silent pipe II

Right now I am reformating and installing Windows Xp in ntfs in raid 1 and its taking forever. ( I did not choose the quick option during the windows install.) Like almost an hour and only 50% done with the reformat. Is something wrong here? Should it be going faster then this? I thought I built a decently fast computer. Any comments would be appreciated.
