Refoaming Speakers JBL MR25

I picked up a pair of JBL MR25's at the GoodWill for a steal of $3 they sound great with my Home Theater receiver (an older RCA/Pioneer rebadge from RadioShack circa 2001) but I was watching a movie one day and I noticed distortion so I immediately shut the system down and when I removed the grilles the rubber surrounds disintegrated and fell to the floor, anyway I heard these speakers were known for disintegrating surrounds and I also heard that they are an easy fix. I found a refoam kit on the worlds #1 loved auction site for about $20 shipped. So I am going to buy that but I am a newb when it comes to DIY speaker repair and the seller will not give me any directions (He want me to buy the kit first) I was wondering if anyone bought a similar kit for the JBL MR25's and has the manual or tips in general on how to refoam a speaker (Woofer to be exact)

Here is what I found when I took the grille off

The name plate the two speakers have consecutive serial numbers one number and letter off

From which auction seller did you get your surrounds? I have purchased two sets from Rich Cobb (looneytoons2001, IIRC) and his included instructions were excellent.

If you didn't buy from him, you will likely not have gotten his 30 Hz CD for centering the voice coil.

I did not buy them yet I just asked the seller how hard it was to do
I was thinking about buying them from Midwest Speaker

I guess when I finally buy the kit I will buy them from Rich Cobb as another forum also recommended that seller

Thanks

Correction: looneytune2001. Highly recommended whenever woofer refoaming is discussed. If he doesn't list the exact surround you need, message him and ask. Besides selling a great product he's also quite helpful.

Parts express re-foams speakers if you dont want to mess them up and make them useless for you have to be dead nuts on with the foam or you will have $3 paperweights.
