Typing a query in the search bar should limit your search to the forum you're in instead of searching all forums. It's almost never useful to search all forums at once since since you'll get too many unrelated topics.
 
15 seconds is longer than it takes to do anything else on this website.

Something is fundamentally flawed and your solution is "deal with it." You could get a job in congress.
 
Your advice is noted, but as this is the default behavior of vB it's not something we're likely to be changing. I think vB 5's behavior is different though, and we'll eventually upgrade.
 
Click the forum you're in; then click Search this Forum. Down to 5 more seconds.

Will the forums really be upgraded to vB5? They weren't upgraded to vB4.
