Refilling laser toner cartridges

I have Brother laser thats getting low on toner. OEM cartridges are ridiculous in price. I read nothing but bad reviews on 3rd party cartridges.

Has anybody been successful in refilling their own cartridges with the toner powder that sells for about $10 per bottle?

I actually use 3rd party toner cartridges on my hp and they're print just as good as the oem for a fraction of their price. I've seen those refill bottles and am also curious as to whether or not they work. For my cartridges you also have to replace the bios chip on them to tell the printer that they are full.

The main issue I have found over the years is the drum. A good pro refiller also replaces the drum. Then it is good for several refills. It has been several years since I last changed laser carts - I only use it for envelopes. 🙂
