Refilling black ink to a colored cartridge

Since canon cartridges nowadays are not durable, I have come up to an idea by using the colored ink cartridges, refilling it with black ink since colored cartridge are more durable than black cartridge. What I did is that when I no longer appreciate the colored cartridge output, I refill it with black ink so that I can print black and no need to buy a black cartridge which gives me an advantage to save money.

My question is that is it safe to do that? Will it harm the printer? Can you give me a list of negative effects from what was on my mind? Particularly, I’m using Canon Pixma iP2770 printer. Hope nice comments would come up. Thank you.

i also tried to refill color cartridge with black ink and i sucessed... wonder full i saved my mony. lot of thanks

if your printer cartridges are empty with ink and black cartridge is out of order then u can use color cartridge refill with blank ink. in this case u can not get color print with color cartridge on your printer. only black print you can get.

it will save your mony and color cartridge is long life with compare to black cartridge.

now a days there are lot of printers in the market which have very cheep prices. mostly students are purchasing these ecnomical printers. after using when the ink's of the cartridge are empty then they are not using these printers because the price of black and color cartridge's are higher then new printer's.
mostly black ink cartridge is not durable and have less life. and the heads of the cartridge are blocked and it will not working. and same condation is with the color cartridges. .....
i have a soulation for these cartridge's for usable again. we can use our printer for black & white print.

1-first check color cartridge is working or any one color is working little bit in this cartridge. then remove the sticker on top of cartridge and refill black ink in all holes of cartridge.

2- Refill color cartridge with black ink... buy a black ink butol wohich is Rs:100/- (1US dollor) in market and refill it.
and donot use black cartriage in printer ....
