I need to refill a Samsung ML2510 cartridge. I have several bottles of refill toner left over for a Samsung ML1740 that died from a bad PS. I know that these have slight different specs but will refilling with the ML1740 be OK ( less than perfect print quality is ok but I don't want a mess or to destroy the cartridge or the printer ) . Will it work ? - Thanks

I would imagine you would be fine. I use the cheap crap off of ebay in my equally cheap HL-2140 with no ill affects, same print quality as the factory stuff. I somehow doubt that junk is anywhere near close to the factory spec stuff. I've been through three bottles of the ebay stuff and its still going. I honestly can't believe the printer is still going at this point(it has to be close to 10,000 pages), best $70 I have spent in a long.

Fine.
There are only a few toner manufacturers in the world. Most people would be surprised to learn that their 'brand name' stuff is the same as the 'cheap' stuff.
One of the biggest companies, Nuolite makes toner for HP/Lexmark/Samsung/Epson/Canon/QMS/Xerox/Dell/Panasonic just rebrands it for whoever buys.

just did a ml 2510 very easy. Just remove 3 screws and there is a little cap there. Fill it up.

I think quality does matter, ive had some that wipe off pretty easy. But its not bad enough to pay the outrageous prices of 'highend' stuff.

It would be a safe bet that the toner particles in most of the Samsung cartridges are the same. Unnecessary work to have to tweak each model for a different particle.
