Reference RX480 vs XFX 480 1338

Here is my current rig:

i5 6600k
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming MB
16 GB GSkill 3000
2 256GB SSD's

I currently have a reference RX480... and was thinking about getting the XFX 480 1338 model for 229 after rebate. Is it worth the performance increase from the reference 480 to XFX. Current uses are typically iRacing and ESO although that could change in the future.

Will the reference card clock as high as the XFX? I doubt it since the XFX has a better cooler on it. If the reference card doesn't give you want you want and you can afford the XFX then for sure get it, you'll then have the option for Cross Fire as well.

You can just buy the arctic pro cooler for about $40, strap it on your reference 480 and get the best overclocks. Why waster another $220 for what would be a performance increase of at most 3-4%, which translates usually to like 2-4fps in game!

Also if you have case coolers then the reference will OC quite good as well.

If you have a buyer for the reference card that pays you at least $200 probably worth the upgrade. I have 2 reference Sapphire RX480s in CF and don't bother OCing because I have CF AND the amount of performance increase is not worth the additional heat etc.

If you plan on only running a single card and you can recoup what I suggested above you are probably getting a better card for @$30 more.
