reference frequency?

there is something called refernce freuquency on my bad axe 2

i belive the highest setting it 333mhz and down from there

I have an e6700, 4 1GB sticks of PC6400 Crucia; Ballisitx

What should i set it at

I am not overclocking

reference frequency is strap control.

266 = 1066 strap
333 = 1333 strap

just leave it at 266.

the pc would go through the intial post screen but then right when it should go to the windows loading screen a black screen would come up with a white dash in the upper right hand corner of the screen and nothing would happen

this is when i chnaged it to 266, if i put it back at default it would load windows


any ideas why this would be happening?

no the same screen comes up with the black screen and blinking white dash in the upper right corner when i have the timings at 5-5-5-12...i need to have it at 5-5-5-18 to work
